The mission of the St. Frances Cabrini Faith Formation for students in grades 9 thru 12 is to provide an atmosphere of a loving faith community for the teenagers of our parish. This program exists to help our youth not only to come to know Christ and understand their faith in a deeper way, but also to put that faith into action in everyday life. Through the celebration of Mass and the sacraments, from the prayers of our hearts, and by the work of our hands, we will allow the Eucharist to inform our minds, heal broken hearts, and serve the poor and less fortunate among us. In doing this, we hope to empower our youth to live as disciples of Christ, to actively participate in the Church’s mission, and to grow personally and spiritually.
The High School Formation for those in grades 9 thru 12 meets every other week (although dates vary from time to time). We dig deeper into our Catholic faith, enjoy spending time with one another and have a great time, all while drawing closer to Christ. We have refreshments available at every meeting, and we love meeting new people.
Bible Study meets every other week, opposite the regular youth group meetings. When young students of the Bible first begin to understand the “story”, they are eager to learn more. The result is that teens begin to wrap their minds and hearts around the Scriptures, perhaps for the first time. They come to see the Bible as something good and relevant – and then make it part of their lives.
