Acclaimed scholar and bestselling author Paul Kengor
will speak on Tuesday, August 20th. Kengor wrote the
book, A Pope and a President, which examines the
relationship between Pope John Paul II and President
Ronald Regan that drove the two men to confront Soviet
communism.
Roy Schoeman was born to conservative Jewish parents
who had fled Nazi Germany. Midway through a career of
teaching and consulting, he experienced an unexpected
and instantaneous conversion to Christianity which led to
a dramatic refocus. Schoeman will share his incredible
conversion story on Wednesday, September 11th.
In her talk, “Relationships: It's Complicated,” on
Tuesday, September 17, national Catholic speaker and
author Sarah Swafford targets the societal and
emotional barriers to forming good, holy relationships.
She sets forth a vision for virtuous relationships in the
twenty-first century, one that focuses on beginning with
the end in mind, building what will last, and staying off
the “Emoticoaster.”
